Update: Swiffer Sweep and Vac
I ordered a Swiffer Sweep and Vac on the advice of my daughter, who has three cats. Of course, I was a little skeptical, three cats can’t produce the amount of fur that one husky can. Having a pet vacuum that’s under a 100 bucks is a good thing.
It’s my new favorite for the war on fur in the house. I still love the Bissell for the rugs and the carpet upstairs, but now I have a cordless vac for the hardwood in the living room and the kitchen floor.
Fur rolls over the floor like tumbleweed. I grab the Swiffer vac, pop on a Swiffer pad and zip zip it gone. The guests that said they be here in 10 minutes are none the wiser.
I use it almost daily for quick clean-ups and only need the Bissell once a week. The charge lasts for about a week.
I’m looking forward to trying it out in the camper. I highly recommend this product. It’s such a time saver and well worth it for around 50 bucks.
The Bissell Upright for Pets
My review of the Bissell upright vacuum for pets.
Every pet guardian knows the value of a good vacuum cleaner. As a Siberian Husky owner, and previously, Japanese Akitas, I consider myself somewhat of an expert. I have purchased and destroyed more vacuums then I can count of various styles and price ranges.
My current vacuum is the Bissell Aeroswift, and it has performed very well for the past two years. To be fair, I have one husky now opposed to the three Akitas that somehow fused themselves to the living room carpet. It is lightweight, compact and bagless that’s a snap to empty. Bagless is the only way to go when you have pets unless you have unlimited time to shop for bags in bulk. It switches quickly from an upright to the wand. The power cord is plenty long enough for most rooms at 30 feet. The rotating Turbobrush works perfectly for getting the fur off the upholstery. I liked it enough to buy one for my mother-in-law last Christmas. Seriously for less than 100 bucks, it’s a good one!
Bissell Aeroswift Compact Bagless Upright Vacuum, 1009 – Corded
I can’t tell you how awesome this vacuum is because I haven’t used one yet. It is my dream vacuum, the Cadillac of all uprights. This is the vacuum I’ll be springing for when its time to let the Bissell go. I’m quite confident that it’s going to be a while. The Bissell keeps going and going. Ask any husky owner about their hobbies, and I’m sure vacuuming will be on the list.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll do anything for your pets, but there’s no reason you cant have a clean house too.
