Portland Lobster Company

In the mood for seafood? Portland Lobster Company is the dog-friendly restaurant for you. They have the best lobster rolls and beer from Maine’s local breweries. The waterfront deck overlooks the harbor and Casco Bay.
While visiting Maine, you can’t leave without trying fresh local seafood. Portland Lobster Co. offer just that and delicious homemade deserts.
The outdoor open seating adds to the Maine experience with sights, smells, and sounds of the waterfront.
It can be quite busy during the summer months, and for a good reason, it’s that good! Halo would love it busy, the busier the better. He loves people, but we go during the slower and cooler times of the year. Portland Lobster Co. closes for the winter months.

The Porthole Restaurant and Pub

El Rayo Taqueria Portland

In the mood for Mexican? El Rayo’s is the place for you and your four-legged pal. The fish tacos are to die, made with fresh local produce.
El Rayos may be a bit off the beaten path of Commercial Street, but it’s worth veering away from the waterfront for their fun atmosphere and vegetarian options. The service is excellent for both you and Fido.
Open every day for breastfast, lunch, and dinner with locations in Portland and Scarborough. Plenty of parking.
Boone’s Fish House & Oyster Room

Boone’s is on the waterfront overlooking Portland Harbor with two outdoor decks to enjoy with your dog. They are known for baked stuffed lobster, oysters, and wood-fired fish entrees.
Boone’s Fish House is a quality Maine seafood restaurant on the waterfront with excellent service. Located in front of the Porthole, you can’t compare the two. They may have the same view, but there’s an entirely different vibe for each restaurant.
Boone’s is stylish and upscale, yet maintains an authentic Maine waterfront experience. The baked stuffed lobster was first created by Alexander Boone when he opened on the waterfront in 1898.

Sebago Brewing Compay

Location, location, location. Flatbread’s in Portland can boast one of the best locations. They are located on the water next to the Casco Bay Ferry Terminal making it a perfect destination for dinner after a cruise around Casco Bay.
Flatbread serves a wide variety of craft beer from local breweries, delicious pizza, in addition, Flatbred offers gluten-free and vegetarian meals and desserts.
Halo has been spoiled each time he’s been to Flatbread by the staff and patrons.
If you’re in town with the kiddos, Flatbread is the best choice for on the water dining.

Did you say sausages? This dog-friendly restaurant serves house-made sausages with Maine’s best craft beers. What’s not to love?
I have heard such great things about The Thirsty Pig that it has made the list although we have yet to go. Halo heard sausages and said, “can we go? Can we, can we…?”
